Applications to all graduate and certificate programs include:

  1. Application for admission
  2. Scanned copies of all college transcripts
  3. Letters of Recommendation: One for certificate programs, two for the engineering management program, and three for all other degree programs.
  4. Résumé
  5. Personal statement elaborating on your reasons for wanting to pursue graduate study at Tufts
  6. Application fee of $75* (non-refundable)

All materials (with the exception of test scores) should be submitted electronically. Please refer to the application instructions.

*The application fee is waived only for current Tufts undergraduate and graduate students; students in Tufts certificate programs; Project 1000 applicants; AmeriCorps and Peace Corps volunteers; City Year and Teach For America Corp members; GEM fellows; and IRT, Leadership Alliance, and McNair Scholars. Gordon Institute M.S.E.M. applicants who attend an information session will be granted a fee waiver.

All programs require a bachelor's degree. See the application requirements for individual programs (.pdf) for additional requirements.

Materials submitted in support of your application must be accurate. Any information determined to be erroneous or incomplete may cause a student's association with Tufts to be immediately terminated. All materials submitted in support of an application become the property of Tufts University, and neither originals nor copies of this material will be returned or sent to a third party.

Credentials received without an application form and fee are retained for only three months from date of receipt.

Studio art applicants should go to www.smfa.edu and apply using the online M.F.A. application. Separate applications (including fees) are required if you apply to more than one graduate program.

The Graduate Career Advancement Program (GCAP) application form is online and can be accessed by clicking here.
