Campus Parking
The Parking Garage in Dowling Hall (located at 419 Boston Avenue, Medford)
is open to visitors for $5 per visit. Just drive your car into the garage, park,
and enter the building. Then purchase a token from any token machine located in
Dowling Hall (the elevator lobbies on floors 3, 5, and 7, as well as the Parking
Office on the first floor.) When your business at Tufts is done and you're ready
to leave, you'll need to insert your token in a machine in order to drive your
car out of the garage.
Until you've enrolled here at Tufts and purchase a parking permit/decal, you
can continue to use the garage as a visitor (and pay $5/visit).
Visitors to campus can also park along the lower portion of Packard Avenue at
no cost during the hours of 8am-1am. (Somerville parking permits are required for
overnight parking.)
Commuter Parking
Permit parking is available in designated areas convenient to classrooms, the
Cousens Complex, and the Aidekman Arts Center. Various parking permits are
available to students.
Tufts
Shuttle Services
As part of the on-going effort to make the campus more accessible and secure,
Tufts provides an escort service that operates from early evening until early
morning. This service provides transportation (on an "as needed" basis)
around campus and to Davis Square in Somerville on a scheduled route. During the
day, the Tufts Shuttle transports students around campus.
