Adams, John and Abigail, Fellowships in Parental Rights and Educational Freedom: Dedicated to the informed study of parental rights and educational freedoms. ASCI High School Science Teacher Summer Fellowship Program: Awards 10 high school science teachers with a $6,000 stipend to work in the laboratory of an ASCI sponsor, during which they receive instruction in state of the art techniques in the context of hands-on participation in a research project. In addition, teachers will attend workshops directed toward translating the summer research experience into effective classroom activities and to train teachers to become a training source for their peers.

Carnegie Corporation Early Childhood Education and Care: Intends to stimulate research, policy analysis, and public education needed to advance children's access to high-quality early education. Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute: Opportunity to gain hands-on experience at the federal level in the public policy area of their choice through the General Public Policy Fellowship. Early Childhood Educator Professional Development Program: Supports replicable, high-quality professional development programs to improve the knowledge and skills of early childhood educators who work in urban or rural high-poverty communities, and who serve children from low-income families. Programs supported must provide research-based training that will improve early childhood pedagogy and will further children's language and literacy skills to prevent them from encountering reading difficulties when they enter school.

Echoing Green Foundation: The stipend serves as seed money to start a new public service organization or an independent project. The proposed project can be domestic or international. Short-Term Resident Fellowships Sponsored by The Newberry Library: Up to 15 fellowships are offered for individual research in any field appropriate to the Newberry's collections. Stipends of up to $800 per month, for a maximum of two months, are available. These fellowships are designed to provide people outside of the Chicago area with access to the Newberry libraries. Small Grants for Doctoral Research in Second or Foreign Language Assessment: Graduate students registered in doctoral programs within or outside the U.S. leading to a degree with a specialization in second or foreign language assessment who have completed all course and examination requirements for the degree are eligible to apply for a grant. The student's dissertation proposal must have been approved by an appropriate committee at the candidate's university.

Spencer Foundation Dissertation Fellowship Award: Although the dissertation topic must concern education, graduate study may be in any academic discipline or professional field. In the past, fellowships have been awarded to candidates in anthropology, architecture, art history, economics, education, history, linguistics, literature, philosophy, political science, public health, psychology, religion, and sociology, but eligibility is not restricted to these academic areas. Candidates should be interested in pursuing further research in education once the doctorate is attained.
