Albee, Edward F. Foundation: A residence for writers, painters, sculptors and composers, the Center is open from June 1st to October 1st. Residencies are for one month periods of time. The standards for admission are, simply, talent and need.

Beebe Fund for Musicians: Provides fellowships for music study and performance abroad—usually in Europe. Awards are approximately $11,000 for round trip transportation, room and board, and other expenses.

Boulanger, Nadia and Lili International Foundation Scholarship: Awarded to musicians of all nationalities - composers, performers, musicologists - normally aged 20 to 35 years, who have demonstrated their capacity for musical achievement or creative ability.

Fulbright Scholarships: Give recent B.S./B.A. graduates, master’s and doctoral candidates, and young professionals and artists opportunities for personal development and international experience. Most grantees plan their own programs. Projects may include university coursework, independent library or field research, classes in a music conservatory or art school, special projects in the social or life sciences, or a combination. Teaching and business opportunities also available.

Liberace Scholarship Fund: The purpose of the fund is to provide grants to accredited colleges and universities that offer degrees in the performing and creative arts. These grants are to be used exclusively for scholarship assistance to talented and deserving students. Programs funded include: Creative and Performance Based Arts Disciplines such as Music, Theater, Dance, and the Visual Arts.

National Opera Association Chamber Opera Competition: Encourages the composition and performance of short operas especially useful in opera workshops and other training venues. The competition runs in two-year cycles. In the first year, composers submit scores for preliminary judging. Three finalists are chosen and excerpts from those operas are presented at the annual convention for competition. The winning opera, chosen from among the three finalists, is produced in its entirety at the NOA convention the following year.

Humane Studies Fellowships: Supports the work of outstanding students interested in the classical liberal/libertarian tradition. The core principles of this tradition include: the recognition of individual rights and the dignity and worth of each individual; protection of these rights through the institutions of private property, contract, and the rule of law, and through freely evolved intermediary institutions; and voluntarism in all human relations, including the unhampered market mechanism in economic affairs and the goals of free trade, free migration, and peace.

Institute-NEH Postdoctoral Fellowship: Offers annually a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in any area of early American studies. A principal criterion for selection is that the candidate's dissertation or other manuscript have significant potential as a distinguished, book-length contribution to scholarship. Applicants may not have previously published or have under contract a scholarly monograph, and they must have met all requirements for the doctorate before commencing the fellowship. Those who have earned the Ph.D. and begun careers are also encouraged to apply.

Madison, James Fellowships: The Fellowships are intended exclusively for graduate study leading to a master’s degree. The proposed plan of graduate study should contain substantial constitutional course work. Fellows are encouraged to choose institutions which offer courses that closely examine the origins and development of the U.S. Constitution, the evolution of political theory and constitutional law, the effects of the Constitution on society and culture in the United States, or other such topics directly related to the Constitution.
