Application Information for the GCAP

Simple Steps to Apply
Complete the one-page application form by clicking here. Mail the application and a copy of your official undergraduate transcript(s) by:

September 1 for fall term
January 15 for spring term

Applications received after these deadlines will be reviewed as time allows.

Application Information For International Students
International students may wish to enroll in the GCAP program as a means to acquaint themselves with higher education in the U.S. If you are not a U.S. citizen or permanent U.S. resident and you need visa assistance from Tufts, the U.S. Immigration Service requires that you register as a full-time student (enroll in and pay tuition for a minimum of three 1.0 credit courses per semester) and demonstrate proficiency in English. In addition to the application form and transcript, international applicants must:

  • provide an official TOEFL score of 550 or higher (213 or higher for the CBT; 79-80 or higher for the IBT)
  • demonstrate financial ability to pay for tuition and living expenses while at Tufts
  • submit copies of current visa and I-94 card (if applicable)

All materials for international students are due by:

March 1 for fall term
September 15 for spring term

Students who meet the requirements for admission will be issued a visa document that allows study at Tufts for a maximum of one academic year. All applicants who are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents need to adhere to the deadlines for international students regardless of visa type.

Students who enroll in the Graduate Career Advancement Program are not eligible for a period of practical training.
