Moving Your Application Quickly

Apply early. Many programs admit students on a rolling admissions, space-available basis.

Plan ahead. The individuals responsible for writing your recommendations and gathering your transcripts need sufficient time to meet your particular application deadline.

If the GRE is required, take it at least six weeks prior to the application deadline.

Use the Letter of Recommendation forms provided or use the electronic recommendation. Please do not submit more than the required number of recommendations. If you use the electronic recommendation process, be sure to check these online. You may submit your application but Tufts will not actually receive it until all your registered recommenders have submitted their letters.  If you are using the paper recommendation form, remember to address envelopes to yourself and affix postage. Include the unopened envelopes with your supplemental application materials.

Use the Transcript Request forms provided to obtain one official copy of all of your college transcripts. Remember to address envelopes to yourself and affix postage. Include the unopened envelopes with your supplemental application materials.

Has your name changed? Add your new name to documents that need it so we can keep it all straight.

Type your personal statement and put your name at the top. Include your resumé.

Provide an email address so we can keep you informed of the status of your application.

Enclose supplemental application materials and credentials all at one time in a 9" x 12" envelope. (Test scores, if required, may arrive later.) Application materials received separately receive lower priority in processing.
